At LVR we are trying to be as intentional and mindful with our production practices.  For us, that means using food scraps when we can.  Foraging what is available in nature.  And sourcing organic when possible (indigo + turmeric).  We use our left over exhausted dye water to water our garden and plants.  When a rain comes (which if you live in Northern California you know it is a rare thing), we put buckets out to collect what we can.  Scraps from tea towels and napkins are turned into sachets.  Notecards and ribbon are dyed in exhaust vats, resulting in 100 of a kind items and colors.  We want to allow nature to reveal itself.  For nature to dictate the color, the pattern.  We try to gently guide the outcome without overly controlling it to achieve precise results.
