Point Reyes was one of those destinations that had been on my list since before I moved to California.  I had heard its beauty was breathtaking.  It was a place not to be missed.  However, it seemed that every time I drove by, I was on my way to someplace else or on my way back home.  I was just simply passing by.  I never seemed to have time.  Not time to do it justice.  But then I was not making time to go there, just there, either.

It seems as if things all happened at once.  In the span of a short time, there were so many references as to why I needed to go there.  So, I decided it was about time.  I hit the road later in the afternoon and knew I needed to head straight to the lighthouse.  I had done some research right before I left to find out about hiking trails and the like and saw that the lighthouse closed fairly early and if I wanted to see it that needed to be my first stop.  Little did I know that I wouldn't have time for anything else, but I didn't mind.  It was just what I was in search for.

Natural and beautiful.  My heart could barely stand it.  This is why I moved to California.  This is what makes my heart sing.  This is the landscape that resonates with my soul and makes me think why would I ever live anywhere else than right here.
